This was a case where our client tripped and fell on cement stair treads that were cracked. She fractured her ankle and required a plate and eight screws to be inserted. She didn’t require a second surgery to remove some of the hardware that was causing pain. The insurance company adjuster fabricated a lie that our client stated she had mis-stepped and caused her own accident. The insurance company’s position took a “no pay” stance. After extensive investigation and hiring the best experts, we were able to prove that the accident was in fact due to the faulty stairs. We were able to obtain a $200,000 settlement and overcame the insurance company’s “no pay” position.
